This 39 year old female patient came to Dr. McLain interested in a breast lift.  She was dissappointed with the “saggy and deflated” appearance to her breasts after having had multiple children and breastfeeding.  During her initial consultation, she was able to see photos of several of Dr. McLain’s breast patients and appreciate the added benefit of placing breast implants at the same time her lift was to be performed.  She decided to undergo a simultaneous breast lift and augmentation with silicone implants in a submuscular place.  Placing the implants in a total submuscular plane provides the advantage of a more natural look as providing more long term results.  After a 1 week recovery she returned to light work and was exercising again at 6 weeks out.  This procedure gave her improved confidence and motivated her to “get fit” and she went on to lose over 20 pounds within 6 months of her surgery.
